Gabi

My name is Gabriella, but people either call me Gabi or Gabs.  I am a senior at Cabrini High School. I live in Slidell, Louisiana (yes, I know very far!). I went to Our Lady of Lourdes for grammar school.  I did not go to high school in Slidell because I wanted to meet new people.  I came to Cabrini for my freshman year, and it is the BEST decision I have ever made.  My class symbol is the angel, and fun fact, I designed my senior sweater!  When my little sister comes to Cabrini, she will also be an angel (shout out to the class of 2022).  I think of Cabrini as a little home since everyone knows each other.  Don't get me wrong, school is stressful, but for the most part, I enjoy school.

 

I have been a member of Student Council for three years and a member of No Place for Hate for two years.  I am an Ambassador for my school and a Crime Stopper Ambassador.  I was Holy Cross Homecoming Queen in 2015, and my little brother is in 8th grade there.  My entire family are huge tiger fans especially during football season! I enjoy watching Netflix and getting on social media.  I have an unhealthy obsession with Starbucks.  I have been a gold card member since seventh grade.  I'm pretty sure you are wondering, "What are your plans after high school?" I'm planning on attending Ole Miss or Mississippi State.  I want to major in psychology because I want to be a lawyer.  I am very passionate about social justice, and I love talking about current social issues.  Fun fact: I interned at the Louisiana State Bar Association and Los Angeles City Hall.  I hope this is the best year because it is my last year of high school.  I'm extremely excited to be a part of the newspaper staff!
