About Rachel

Hi, my name is Rachel. I went to St. Angela Merici for grammar school. I played cabbage ball in seventh grade. I haven't played a sport since. If I could play any sport I would play recreational tennis at City Park after school. I'm sixteen years old and my birthday is in January. The night I was born there was a lunar eclipse. My little sister is Kristen and she's a freshman this year. I grew up in Laplace but now I live in Metairie. If I could live anywhere I would want to live in Old Metairie or Uptown. My hair has been every natural color except black. My hair has been blonde the longest but I'm aiming for platinum white blonde.

I have four dogs. My favorite is my morbidly obese chihuahua/dachshund named Jaxsun. My favorite type of food is Italian and Mediterranean. My step family is super Italian and I love hanging out with them. I'm mostly French and Spanish. My paternal grandfather moved to America from Mexico and started his own authentic Mexican restaurant in New Orleans. My maternal great grandparents owned the first movie theatre in Lafayette.

I have a deep obsession with pink, pearls, and diamonds. I love expensive vintage jewelry. I've taken half of my moms jewelry including her wedding ring. I wear six rings that are all my moms because I can't pick my favorite. I fiddle all the time. I love reading. During the school year I have at least two books I'm reading at all times.

My sister and I have super cool eyes for some reason. My mom has Medusa green eyes, and my dad has dark brown eyes. I got green eyes like my moms which is cool because brown eyes are the dominant eye color. What's even cooler is that my little sister has shiny steel blue eyes that she didn't get from either of my parents. So somewhere in my family someone had strong enough eye genes that they passed up my dad's dominant brown eyes and my mom's green eyes.

Lastly, I'm an ambivert. In case you don't know what an ambivert is (which most people don't), an ambivert is someone that has the qualities of both an introvert and an extrovert. Basically, I love being around people and going out, but I also like down time by myself. For the most part, I'm pretty left brained (the more logical one), but I do have traits of being right brained (the more creative one). My top three favorite artists and bands are Frank Ocean, Panic! At The Disco, and Marina and the Diamonds. I get super weird cravings for random things for months at a time. For a while it was milk I couldn't get enough of. This month it's Peach Snapple Tea.
