Eclipse Dance Team

The Eclipse Dance Team started off the year at the Universal Dance Association Convention Camp, where they won twenty seven blue ribbons and three red ribbons, also earning the title of Most Improved by the staff of the UDA. More recently, the team performed at Cabrini's annual Christmas on the Bayou to "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree." The dance team performs at pep rallies, school games, various competitions, and many other school events throughout the year.

The 2016-2017 Eclipse Dance Team participated in the 2016 LHSAA State Cheerleading and Dance Team Championships on December 4, placing third in the Hip Hop division. During Mardi Gras, the team marches in several parades including the Krewe of Druids, the Krewe of Caesar, and the Krewe of Thoth.

The dance team is coached by Mrs. Hibbs and lead by captain, Junior Emily Hampton. Other members of the Eclipse Dance team include Lieutenant Senior Victoria Padilla, Upper Classmen Leader Junior Michelle Roper, Under Classmen Leader Freshman Olivia Dornan, with Junior Kamryn Butler, Sophomores Angie Hull and Marie Murphy,, Freshmen Courtney Britton, Mattie Majeau, and Laila Woodfork, and Pre-Freshmen Taylor Bonura and Ashleigh Lecke.

Captain Emily Hampton describes her time on the team, "The years I've been on the dance team have been incredible! It's an honor to be captain as a junior. I'm so excited for next year! 2017 is going to be incredible!"
