The Seniors for the Class of 2017 celebrated getting their rings during the week of August 29 to September 2, 2016. This year's seniors are the fifty fourth class to receive class rings, as the tradition started with the class of 1963. The seniors got their first and last looks at their rings before they received them during their Senior Class Mass on Tuesday, August 30, 2016. The seniors gathered in the chapel to celebrate their class and their rings during the small Mass. After Mass, Mrs. Hrapmann presented the class with rosaries as a symbol of their time at Cabrini. The Mass ended, as all celebrations do, with the Alma Mater. The class was able to look at their rings before everything was over.

The Ring ceremony was held on Thursday, September 1, at 7 pm, but the gym was filled with eager students and relatives long before then. A procession of the class symbol, along with the rings and the Cabrini core value banners, started the night. After an insightful homily from Fr. Kyle Sanders, the prayer service ended. Senior Class President Payton Dawson rallied the awaiting seniors with a fascinating speech about the significance of the class rings.

The seniors received their rings from Mrs. Hrapmann and President Truxillo soon after the prayer service was over. Senior Laurel Dennies described the feeling of getting her ring: "I love my ring so much! Honestly, it's a symbol of all of the years that I've had at Cabrini, all the great times, the bad times, and how much I've grown. I'm so excited and so grateful."

The thrilling week ended on Friday with the Senior Ring Dance. The night was filled with singing and dancing and even an epic dance battle between Senior Taylor Benoit and Brother Martin Junior Jonathan Bullock. The seniors were still exhilarated from receiving their rings the night before. They spent the night taking pictures and screaming out lyrics to their favorite songs. Senior Tori Luster said that in celebrating receiving her ring, she "could cry from excitement." The marvelous night showed a promising future for senior year.
