People say Disney World is the happiest place on Earth; obviously, they have not visited Cabrini High School. On October 7, 2016, Cabrini High School invited prospective students and their families to explore all the wonderful opportunities Cabrini has in store for them. This year, the newest attraction was the photo booth. Everyone enjoyed taking pictures with the cute props that were provided. Every girl and her family were paired with their own student tour guide. The tour started in the chapel where every family heard from Mrs. Hrapmann and Mr. Truxillo, as well as a current student and an alumna of Cabrini.

In the Esplanade Building, guests met the amazing Religion Department who had some of the religion books and projects on display. Next, tour guides took families to the beautifully painted purple room where Mother Cabrini actually stayed during her visits to New Orleans. Students and their families next stopped by Crescent Hall where they saw performances by some of the members of Drama Club who performed in the black box theatre. Students then entered the music room where they heard the angelic voices of Cabrini's Chamber Ensemble followed by the weight room filled with tons of work out equipment to strengthen our athletes.

The Moss Street building is where most of the classes on the tour are located. The tour included Fine Arts, Math, Social Studies, English, Foreign Language, and Science. Prospective students and their families finished the tour with the Cabrini Extravaganza. The dance team and cheerleading team performed, and students learned information about the different athletic teams. The last stop is my favorite stop because there are cookies! The cafeteria has information about clubs and has refreshments. Also, this is the saddest stop because the tour is over, and this is when the tour guide says goodbye to her family and wishes the young girl good luck on her journey to find the right high school for her.

If you missed our Open House, do not worry because you can take a virtual tour of the Moss Street Building on our beautiful campus right now or spend the day with one of our students!
